Neil Thompson Smash Repairs

Neil Thompson Smash Repairs was a family-owned motor vehicle repairs business and has been around since 1990.

Over the years Neil Thompson Smash Repairs helped many young aspiring race drivers by supplying body repairs and paintwork to their race cars. These drivers came to us through Galloway Developments Motorsport and Anglo Australian Motorsports.

Gainsford Body Repairs Mortdale

Located right next door to Woolworths at 84 Roberts Avenue, Mortdale Gainsford Body Repairs have been helping St George residents for decades. Indeed our quality workmanship has stood the test of time, With many clients now sending their offspring to us when they need quality smash repairs. Due to our excellent customer service and loyal customers, we had to consider expanding.

Therefore, we formed the Automotive Collision Centre. This takes in the three adjoining sites, which includes Neil Thompson Smash Repairs at 80 Roberts Avenue Mortdale, which is where our head office is. And of course in the middle is 82 Roberts Avenue Mortdale, which is where our car storage and car detailing takes place.

Collectively the three sites allow us to provide a streamlined service, improving cycle times and ultimately getting you back on the road faster.

A quality smash repair shop all starts with its employees. Experience and thorough training are where it counts. We employ over 20 highly qualified staff. Each staff member is diligently vetted before they are excepted into our business. We only employ highly skilled people who care. That is passionate about achieving top results. Automotive Collision centre Mortdale are proud sponsors of the Forest Rangers Football Club, It was established in 1966. They have teams ranging from Under 6 to Over 45. Indeed they play in the St George Football Association, with their home ground at Gannon’s Park, on Pindari Road, Peakhurst.

Forest Rangers Football Club are a warm, family-friendly Club focusing on grassroots and community football. Yes, they have teams of all ages and all levels from beginners in U6 through to Premier League and O45s. Additionally, they offer girls-only teams and development teams.

They are proudly supported by local companies like ourselves and have a fantastic volunteer committee and strong local heritage.

For instance, we have the top of the line dust extraction technology, which provides a safe, comfortable work environment for our staff.

Recently, we have undertaken a significant upgrade to all our Compressors. We are replacing them with new variable speed Compressors. Saving us money in the long-term on power bills, but most importantly, massively reducing our carbon footprint.

Automotive Collision Centre Mortdale tries to use water-based paint where possible. Water-based paint does not emit any harmful chemicals. When the need arises, we only use solvent-based paints that are low in Volatile organic compounds (VOC).

Furthermore, we recycle everything possible, Including paper, cardboard, oil, Air-conditioning gas, solvent and of course metal. Automotive Collision Centre Mortdale is one of the industry’s leading experts on repairs to plastic car parts. We are at the forefront in developing new innovative ways to repair these parts, allowing them to be used again and greatly reducing them as a throwaway item. Therefore, reducing landfill by thousands of tons per year.
